You don’t know how great my dog Ruckus is, but I think a lot of people can relate to the joy and love you get from a pet from day-to-day. I’m not sure he makes me healthier, but I know Ruckus make me happy every day.

Photographer Lucy Hilmer’s desert whim started a project that would last over 39 years and offers an incredible glimpse into changing times and one woman’s self image. I am in awe of her courage.

I love to box. It helps my mind and body in more ways than I can count. This link is an interesting look at women in boxing – I’m not one to compete, but I love knowing about these amazing women who paved the way!

It’s hard not to get teary eyed listening to this interview snippet in light of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s untimely death. Yet, I absolutely adore the truth he speaks about happiness, and what it is and actually isn’t.
